Wall
03/25/04 |
I see many faces,
Each time I look around,
I see many traces,
Some of which are profound,
And each time I wonder,
If what I see is true,
I truly do ponder,
If what I see is you.
Or have you made a wall,
To block peoples sight,
With time please let it fall,
You can surpass your fright,
But people will judge you,
Or people just don't care,
This is what I feel too,
You'll be surprised who'll be there.
I'm giving you advice,
Which I feel you should take,
Advice I should be taking,
This is my true mistake,
If I don't ever give,
Then I shall never get,
It is now time to live,
I don't understand just yet.

Together We Stand
04/24/04 |
When the sun falls down and all eternity seems empty,
You can close your eyes and turn from reality,
But be strong, don't turn away and don't close your eyes,
The moon will shine bright with stars twinkling in the sky.
When deep gray clouds surface over and rain begins to fall,
You can crouch down with worry, hide away, feel small,
But have hope, stand up, face the whole world with might,
The rainbow will rise because you put up a fight.
When hail falls from the sky and the ground is sheeted in ice,
You can try to walk across it, even try twice,
But if all else fails, turn to a friend, take their hand,
You're never ever alone, together we stand.

The Joys Of Life
05/10/04 |
The joys of life,
Are endlessly there,
No matter the strife,
And/or the despair,
But often blurred,
Whatever the cause,
By chance disturbed,
But never at loss.
At times so sad,
And others joyful,
This may seem bad,
And yet so humble,
Being a teen,
It can be so hard,
What does this mean?
It changes at large.
Through thick and thin,
I'm always the same,
The same old kin,
It's simply a game,
The best at that,
Remember the good,
And unfortunate,
Live the way you should.
The past is past,
Tomorrow is new,
Don't change too fast,
Don't wait for your cue,
Do it your way,
But listen to me,
Today's your day,
Help yourself to see.
The joys of life,
Are endlessly there,
No matter the strife,
And/or the despair,
But often blurred,
Whatever the cause,
By chance disturbed,
But never at loss.

Summer Breeze
05/26/04 |
The sweet cool breeze of a summer eve,
Whistles through the trees,
Singing a song that no one can hear,
Yet we know it's near.
The relieving scent of summer air,
Rids us of despair,
Telling secrets of dreams and of hopes,
Teaching how to cope.
The true guidance of the summer tales,
Always it prevails,
Yet it's unaware of what will happen,
For it does not listen.
The oblivious scent of summer air,
Does not hear our despair,
Tells all it knows of dreams and of hopes,
Knows not we cannot cope.
The sweet cool breeze of a summer eve,
Knows nothing but the trees,
Singing a song that no one can hear,
For all we know is fear.

Together One Day
06/10/04 |
I imagine you,
Funny as can be,
One of the few,
Who could make me see,
The truth of love,
Far beyond our eyes,
The one to stop,
My loneliest cries,
To see me through,
The worst and the best,
We could do it,
and forget the rest.
Why aren't you here,
Please tell me you're near,
Not seeing you,
Will be my worst fear.
Give me a sign,
To show me you're mine,
Give me a clue,
Let me know my line.
What should I do,
I fear to commit,
I'd reject you,
And that would be it.
I need alot,
Someone strong and tough,
Got to be sweet,
And not too too rough.
Got to want me,
But not protect me,
I need the life,
To explore and see.
You've got to help me,
Help me through this time,
And maybe then,
You could be mine.
You never know,
What'll be thrown your way,
Possibly soon,
Together one day.

Honesty
06/23/04 |
An admirable quality,
The attainable honesty,
But for the purest honesty,
Not quite the greatest quality.
Questionable words left unsaid,
Questioning when to draw the thread,
Words unsaid-appreciated,
When and where initiated.
A conscientious decision,
For a conscientious person,
Limitation of a conscience,
Eliminated your decision.
An admirable quality,
The attainable honesty,
But for the purest honesty,
Not quite the greatest quality.

Emptiness
08/12/04 |
I am searching to fill a void,
For something is not right,
Has a piece of my heart been destroyed?
Why do I cry at night?
I cannot understand why we feel,
And why we must feel pain,
Why the losses in life are so real,
Often there is no gain.
How can there be a reason for all,
When there is such heartache,
Why is it many people must fall,
To learn from a mistake.
It is thought that he is all knowing,
Why does he deal such cards,
Some of us will perhaps lose feeling,
For life is just too hard.
Some of us just cannot deal as well,
We cannot comprehend,
And many of us can never tell,
Just when to be a friend.
How can I trust at all in my life,
Based on all that I've known,
It is true it is not all strife,
Partly what I've been shown.
I feel and emptiness in my heart,
I fear what I might find,
I wonder if this is just the start,
In discovering my mind.

Water
04/09/08 |
Wishing around in cloudy confusion,
Appears transparent with no sense of reason,
Thoughtlessness must be treason.
Fluid and smooth with all that it touches,
Pieces of minerals pave its way,
Contributing to the path that goes astray.
Indulging in this chemical must be perilous,
However essential contact may be,
One is taught to fear in this society.
Glistening down the sweet cheeks of all,
Comforting liquid in detrimental emotions,
Symbolizing faith in holy sanctions.
Inability to trust, that which sustains us,
Unable to distinguish the ideal from the needy,
Confirms human nature as justly unruly.
Each contact is inevitably made,
Yet one drop can forever alter any trail,
The water in each of us is ever so frail.

05/28/08>
05/28/08 |
Caressing tender delicate skin,
Fiercely locking precious words,
Treasured possession lying therein,
Bindingly facing forwards.
The unknown is without cease desired,
To eternally retain,
Emotional strings acquired,
Hold or be held into pain.
Releasing that which is held so dear,
Yielding emotions when clutched,
Confined by gold-plated fear,
Worthless is that only touched.

Do Not Tell Me
06/15/08 |
Do not tell me that the sun will not shine,
When clouds are in the sky,
Do not tell me that the world is not mine,
For then I will not try.
Do not tell me who and what I am,
Even if you know me,
Do not tell me that you are my friend,
If you are not truly.
Do not tell me of luck in this world,
Or I'll leave things to fate,
Do not tell me I'm just a young girl,
I'm more now, it's too late.
Do not make me any promises,
Let me not down, I'll cry,
I do not need any promises,
I do not need a lie.
